Taman Negara is Malaysia’s Primier National Park. It is the nation’s largest, covering some 4343 square miles or 434,300 square Hectares of protected area of pristine evergreen tropical rainforest spanning three states, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang right in the middle of peninsular Malaysia. The Sultans of these three states set the area aside in 1938 to become the Taman Negara, a name adopted after independence. It is today the world renowned ecological tourism heaven with the world’s longest canopy walkway.
